David A. Ndatipo
David is born on 12 February 1958 at Okalongo in the Omusati Region of the Republic of Namibia' and is married with five children.

After finishing Secondary School at Anamulenge Missionary School in Omusati Region, David was forced by the South African colonial regime to leave Namibia into exile in 1975. He joined the Liberation struggles for the independence of Namibia.

He began receiving military training in 1976 as a platoon commander at Tobias Hainyeko Training Centre in Lubango, Republic of Angola. In 1981, David received intelligence training in Moscow, in the then former Soviet Union". In 1983 he was trained as a Tank (T35 tank) platoon commander in Jumbo Training Centre in Lubango, Republic of Angola. Between 1988-1989, he studied administration and management skills at Bell College Saffron Walden/ Cambridge University- UK.

In 1990, David joined the Namibian Defence Force, and in 1998 he completed a junior staff course training at MAFCO "Malawi Armed Forces College" in Salima - Malawi. In 2002, he completed a senior advance command course on strategic studies at National Defence University (NDU), Beijing- China. In 2005 he completed the course on Defence Diplomacy Leadership and Managing Defence in a Democracy study course, at Cranfield University, the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom, Shrivenham -UK.

In 2001, David became a shareholder and a director at HSP.

Between 2010-2011, he completed a course on International Relations, International Security, International Law, National Security, Diplomacy and Regional Security Strategy at the National Defence College (NDC), under the University of Nairobi, department of Institute of Diplomacy and International Studies (IDIS).
