Before the rough is manipulated in any way, HSP uses the Sarin Galaxy system to map the inclusions, impurities, grooves, cracks, glitzes, nests, clouds, etc... of a rough diamond.

This allows for immediate decision making of whether or not to manufacture the diamond. If it is decided to manufacture, the inclusion map of the rough helps the 'planner' to plan for the polished diamond that will return the greatest value.

Planning, using the Galaxy file in the Sarin Advisor software, is the study of the numerous options in order to achieve the best outcome, which is the result of balancing the best possible combination of size and clarity.  These options are confirmed by the planner's trained eye using a magnifying loupe or microscope.
